Please follow the below steps to reset your My GIA Education Portal password:

 

 

  1. In web browser, go to My GIA Education Portal - https://education.gia.edu/

  2. When page loads, scroll down to the PASSWORD MANAGEMENT section and click on Forget My Password.



 

  1. Enter your username (e.g. SSMITH000) and email address.

  2. Once the challenge page displays, enter answers to your security questions (note that answers are case sensitive so if you originally typed California, you need to match it with California, not california).

 

  1. Once your challenge questions are accepted you can change the password. 

 

Once your application is approved and you have activated your My GIA Education Portal account and have successfully registered for your course,

you can follow the below steps to make payment on your course:

 

 

  1. In web browser, go to My GIA Education Portal - https://education.gia.edu/

 

  1. Log in with your username and password

 

  1. At the top of the page, click on Student Center

 

  1. Once website loads, in the left panel, select your campus (e.g. Carlsbad Student Center).

 

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the BALANCE and PAYMENT section. Click on Click here to check your balance and make payment

 

 

 

  1. The MY ACCOUNT INFO AND PAYMENT page loads. Click Step 1 to update your balance, and then Step 2 to make a payment through Transact


 

  1. The Transact Payment Center will display. Follow prompts to complete payment process.

Once your application is approved and you have activated your My GIA Education Portal account,

you can follow the below steps to enroll in your GIA course:

 

  1. In web browser, go to My GIA Education Portal - https://education.gia.edu

 

  1. Log in with username and password.

  2. At the top of page, select the Student Center tab.

  3. Once website loads, in the left panel, select your campus (e.g. Carlsbad Student Center).

  4. When you are in your student center for your campus, scroll down to the Registration section and click the Register for a Course link.



  5. Use the Course and Course Section dropdown boxes to see a list of all available courses for the remainder of the year. Select the one that interests you, and click Add Registration.
     


  6. Click Submit and Pay to submit your registration and pay your balance. 

Tuition is due at time of registration.

 

If you enrolled in Pearls, Colored Stones, Diamonds & Diamond Grading, or any lab courses, you will be sent an Enrollment Agreement via DocuSign. Please make sure to sign this enrollment agreement as soon as it arrives to ensure your course will not be dropped.

 

 

To view an invoice please follow these steps:


  1. In web browser, go to My GIA Education Portal - https://education.gia.edu

  2. Log in with username and password

  3. In the top right of page, click STUDENT CENTER 

  4. When the page loads, on the left panel, click your Student Center (e.g. Carlsbad) 

  5. The student center page loads. Scroll down and on the right in the QUICK LINKS section, click on VIEW MY FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INFO

  6. The MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION page displays. In the MY ACCOUNT INFO AND PAYMENT section, select COURSE AND FEE STATEMENT 

  7. The Course and Fee Statement page loads.  Select GENERATE MY COURSE AND FEE STATEMENT 

  8. The Course and Fee Statement will generate.  Select VIEW MY COURSE AND FEE STATEMENT

 

 

 

The most efficient way to access courses is to go through the My GIA Education Portal, then over to Blackboard.

Note: for new enrollments, classes become available on TUESDAYS at 12:00am PST. 

 

  1. In web browser, go to My GIA Education Portal - https://education.gia.edu/

  2. Login with your username and password.

  3. At the top of the page, click on Student Center.

  4. On the left panel, under STUDENT CENTER, click on your campus (e.g. Carlsbad Student Center).

  5. Once the page loads, scroll down and look in the MY COURSES section. Locate the course you wish to access and in the Course Link column click Access Course.

  6. The page will then display Blackboard. On the left-hand panel, click Courses.

  1. Once page loads, click on the name of the course you wish to enter.

 

This is not a technical error but rather, it's a security feature for your protection. To resolve this issue, please do all the following then try to access again:
 

  1.   Please clear your browser cookies / caches / history.
  2.   When you log out of Blackboard, always make sure to click the End SSO Session button then close your browser.

Problem: I cannot see my final Questionnaire
SOLUTION - To see the final Questionnaire, you must complete the mandatory course survey. In the Questionnaire section click on course survey, complete it and an access code will be presented to you. Copy and paste this code into the specified field. The final Questionnaire will now be visible.



Problem: I did the survey, but never got the access code
SOLUTION - The access code populates toward the end of the course survey after you've answered all questions. After the access code populates, you'll enter it in to a specified field. If you get to the end of the survey and do not see it, please capture a screenshot of what you're seeing and create a support ticket at the bottom of this page.

 


Problem: I earned an NP for my course survey - will it affect my course grade / what does that mean?
SOLUTION - Completing the mandatory course survey will not impact your grade.

In the Blackboard system, when anything is incomplete or not passed, the system assigns a score of NP (or no pass). When you earn an NP for the survey, it simply means that you did not complete the survey and enter the access code as directed. 


The access code populates toward the end of the course survey after you've answered all questions. After the access code populates, you'll enter it in to a specified field. If you get to the end of the survey and do not see it, please send a screenshot of what you're seeing.
